What is the reason of the error ‘Category does not exist’ in Convert Agent Management.log?

The problem is related to the broken Performance Counters settings in Windows Server 2012 R2. Here is the article describing this issue: 

The problem is fixed by updating these settings in OS:

Winmgmt /resyncperf

Net stop winmgmt /y

Net start winmgmt
