How to use Cinegy Air with Title in a virtual environment?
Posted by Oleh Muliarchuk on 25 August 2023 12:11

Here are some general guidance and links to some resources.

First of all, you need to know that Cinegy software works with both VMWare (VMware ESXi Server (formerly VMware ESX)) and HyperV. The only thing is that you need to use an NVIDIA A10 GPU card or newer analog and, definitely, the NVIDIA Virtual GPU driver; otherwise, you won't get the necessary acceleration. The card cannot be "shuffled" between VMs, see below for GPU and Virtual GPU support:

Plus, the page from NVIDIA below has some recommendations for ESXi versions and Nvidia driver packages:

The link below goes on to a presentation created in 2017 about this type of deployment:

Or read the following article to learn about Cinegy Cloud Broadcasting:

Alternatively, you can try running test feeds on Amazon EC2 G5 https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/instance-types/g5/, they use this type of card.
