Go to the SQL server machine and do the following:

  • Check if the TCP/IP protocol is enabled:
    1. go to the SQL Server Configuration Manager tool;
    2. on the left panel find "Client Protocols" and select it;
    3. on the right panel make TCP/IP enabled. For this right-click the "TCP/IP" item on the right panel and choose the "Enable" context menu command.
  • Check if the SQL server Browser service is running.
  • Check if port 1433, which is used by SQL server, is not blocked by Windows Firewall.
  • Сheck if the SQL services are running under the user account with the Administrator rights:
    1. go to the SQL Server Configuration Manager tool;
    2. select the SQL Server services in the left panel;
    3. in the right panel you will see the services – try to run them under the domain Administrator account

Besides, check under which user Cinegy Desktop and the Cinegy Configuration tool are started – check if this user is assigned to access your database. You can check it with via Cinegy Enterprise Manager -> Permissions and Security -> Groups, Users and Assigned Roles.
