All Cinegy Products support native playback of the QuickTime MOV and MP4 files with broadcast industry standard compression methods (like H.264, XDCAM HD 422, IMX, DNxHD, DV, etc.). In case the container includes some features that are not supported or the compression is not supported natively by Cinegy media library, the decoding process will be perfomed by QuickTime library if it is installed on the local machine. So in most cases QuickTime installation is not necessary except for the cases when specific compression formats are used (like Apple Animation).
