In Desktop 15 I'm getting the startup error "LicenseManager(status=8): remote connection forbidden; LS Host=[SRV-DB01]"

Please note that from Cinegy Desktop 12 the licensing has been changed a little.

1. Please check if the dongle has the Sharing option.

2. Сheck whether the registry key is created correctly оn the Desktop client machine:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cinegy LLC\Cinegy\License] - String "LicenseServerAddress" should contain a server name or IP address of the server with dongle.

and on the server in this branch:

  [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Cinegy LLC\Cinegy\License],  "AllowRemoteConnections"=dword:00000001

More details please read here - https://open.cinegy.com/posts/2015-12-10-remote-license/

3. Open the CinegyCfg.exe tool, and on the Misc tab check the license server. In case the Desktop license is located on a server that differs from SQL server, deselect the "Same as SQL server" option and fill in the server name or IP address of the server where the physical dongle is inserted.
